The Benefits of Earthing
Connecting with Nature for Better Health
Earthing (or grounding) is the simple practice of walking barefoot on grass, sand or soil to connect with the earth's natural energy.
Research suggests that direct contact with the Earth can help reduce inflammation, improve sleep, lower stress and enhance overall well-being.
By balancing the body's electrical charge, earthing may also support heart health and boost immunity.
If you can spend a few minutes each day barefoot outdoors, your body and mind will thank you! Of course that's not practical for everyone, we don't all live on the coast and many live in apartments with no garden, not to mention the weather! So, if you can't always be outside, that's where products like grounding mats and Earthing Sheets come in.
How do they work? When you lay down on an earthing sheet or stand on a grounding mat, your body makes contact with conductive materials embedded in them. They are connected to a wire that plugs into the ground port of your electrical outlet. Using these products means, even if you’re at home sleeping, relaxing or working, you can still experience the benefits of grounding!
Earthing during sleep provides the body with multiple hours of uninterrupted Earthing, at a time where we naturally undergo the most healing and regeneration. This may help with better sleep, reduced pain and improved energy levels.
