How to use

  1. Cleanse and dry your face.

  2. Apply a hydrating, water-based serum to enhance glide and absorption. Avoid thick creams or oils, which can block light penetration.

  3. Hold the power button to turn on the wand.

  4. Glide in slow, upward and outward motions across your face.

  5. Use for 3–5 minutes per area, up to 12 minutes total per session.

  6. Use 3–5 times per week for best results.

The built-in timer signals when it’s time to move to the next area.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with cells in the skin. Research suggests that red light can influence cellular activity, including processes involving fibroblasts and collagen production. Laboratory and clinical research has investigated red light therapy for skin appearance, including elasticity, texture and signs of skin ageing.

The FLOE Red Light Face Wand uses 630 nm red light, alongside microcurrent, therapeutic warmth and facial vibration.

Red light therapy for facial skincare

Research into red light therapy has shown promising results for the appearance of ageing skin. A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology investigated a home-use LED device using 637 nm red light and 854 nm near-infrared light. After 6 and 8 weeks, the researchers reported significant improvements in skin elasticity, with improvements in skin texture also observed at 8 weeks. No adverse reactions or pain were reported during the study.

The 630 nm red light used by FLOE is within the red-light range investigated in research on skin and photobiomodulation.
