This is a pure, single-origin oil with a distinctly clean, forest-fresh character. Cypress (Cupressus Sempervirens) is one of the most historically significant trees in the world. Its botanical name - derived from the Greek sempervirens, meaning "live forever" - belies its long association with mortality and remembrance across ancient cultures. 

Phoenicians and Cretans prized the wood for building ships and houses; Egyptians crafted sarcophagi from it; the Greeks carved statues of their gods from its timber. These are the same towering, columnar trees that inspired Van Gogh's iconic paintings - a silhouette instantly recognisable across the landscapes of southern Europe.
